Workspaces
A workspace is where your team’s work lives — its projects, tasks, teams, and documents. Everything you do in Tasks and Docs happens inside a workspace.
When you create your account, NRNS sets up a personal workspace for you automatically. You can also be invited into other people’s workspaces, and you can create additional workspaces of your own at any time.
Membership and roles
Section titled “Membership and roles”Every person in a workspace has a role that determines what they can do there:
- Owner — full control, including deleting the workspace or transferring ownership. Every workspace has exactly one at a time.
- Admin — manages members, teams, and workspace settings, short of deleting the workspace or transferring ownership.
- Member — the standard role for people doing the work: creating and managing projects, tasks, and teams.
- Guest — limited access, typically for people outside the core team.
- Viewer — read and comment only, no editing.
A workspace admin sets and changes roles from the Console Members page.
Switching workspaces
Section titled “Switching workspaces”If you belong to more than one workspace, the workspace switcher in the Tasks app sidebar lists all of them, plus a Combined view that shows work across every workspace at once. Switching is instant — it doesn’t require signing in again.
Creating a workspace
Section titled “Creating a workspace”Open the workspace switcher and choose Create workspace, then give it a name. You become its owner automatically.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- See how per-app access works within a workspace in Moving between apps.
